How people get into it here: SPM → Matriculation, Asasi, STPM or Diploma → Bachelor's in Finance, Banking, Business or Economics → bank graduate programme, personal banker or assistant relationship manager at a branch → Relationship Manager (SME, commercial, premier or private banking). Selling unit trusts or insurance-linked products also needs FIMM registration and industry certificates (e.g. PCEIA/CEILLI).
Professional body: Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM) registration to sell unit trusts, plus insurance/takaful sales certificates where bancassurance is sold
