Sailor in the Royal Malaysian Navy who serves on ships and at naval bases in trades such as seamanship, engineering, electrical, communications and logistics, enlisted after SPM or SVM through TLDM's twice-yearly Perajurit Muda intake and six months of basic training.

You can enter this career straight after SPM. A degree is optional, not required.

How people get into it here: SPM with a credit in Bahasa Melayu and a pass in Sejarah (credits in English, Mathematics and Science preferred), or SVM, or SPM plus SKM Level 2; single and roughly 18-25 years old → apply online at navy.mil.my when a Perajurit Muda series opens → selection (documents, fitness, medical) → six months of basic training → Laskar Muda, then promotion to Laskar Kelas II, Laskar Kelas I and Laskar Kanan. Male engineering diploma holders can enter on a higher technical track.
