Halal Executive

In-house officer who keeps a company's halal certification valid by running its Halal Assurance System to MS1500 and JAKIM rules. Every medium or large JAKIM-certified premise must appoint one, and they must be a Muslim Malaysian with a JAKIM HPB Halal Executive certificate.

- SPM → Diploma in Halal Management (or food science, or a related degree) → get a permanent job at a food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, logistics or hotel company → complete the Halal Executive course (about 10 days) with a Halal Training Provider registered with JAKIM's Halal Professional Board → appointed Halal Executive. Five years of halal-management experience can stand in for the diploma.
