Competes, coaches, analyses or commentates (casts) in competitive video games for esports teams, tournaments and streaming platforms. There is no formal entry route: players are scouted through ranked play and leagues such as the Malaysia Esports Circuit, and very few earn a full-time living from playing alone.
You can enter this career straight after SPM. A degree is optional, not required.

Build a ranked record in one title, join school, university or community teams and enter open tournaments and leagues (e.g. the Malaysia Esports Circuit run under KBS's Esports Integrated) to get scouted. Coaching, casting, team management and event roles often suit people with a diploma or degree in media, sports science, business or game development.
