E-hailing Driver

Drives passengers booked through apps such as Grab, using a car that holds an APAD e-hailing vehicle permit (EVP) and a PSV vocational licence. It is flexible gig work: earnings depend on hours, demand and fuel and car costs, and there is no fixed salary. Drivers must be at least 21 with a full class D licence.

You can enter this career straight after SPM. A degree is optional, not required.

How people get into it here
Not open straight after SPM: you must be a Malaysian citizen aged 21 or over with a competent driving licence (CDL) class D, pass the JPJL8A medical check, attend the e-hailing theory course and get a PSV vocational licence from JPJ. The car also needs an e-hailing vehicle permit (EVP) from APAD, which the platform helps you apply for.
