Uniformed officer of the Royal Malaysian Customs Department who collects duties and taxes and fights smuggling at borders, ports and airports, joined through SPA9 as Pembantu Penguasa Kastam (SPM), Penolong Penguasa Kastam (STPM/diploma) or Penguasa Kastam (degree).

You can enter this career straight after SPM. A degree is optional, not required.

How people get into it here: SPM with a credit in Mathematics and Bahasa Melayu → apply on SPA9 for Pembantu Penguasa Kastam WK1 (meet height, BMI and eyesight rules) → basic training at Akademi Kastam Diraja Malaysia → WK1. With STPM, STAM, KPM Matriculation or a diploma you can enter higher as Penolong Penguasa Kastam WK5; with a degree, as Penguasa Kastam WK9.
