Airline Ground Staff (Passenger Service / Ramp Agent)

Works for ground handlers such as Pos Aviation, AeroDarat and AirAsia's Ground Team Red, checking in passengers, running boarding gates and baggage services, or loading bags and guiding aircraft on the ramp. Handlers hire SPM leavers aged about 18/19 to 35 through walk-in interviews, with shift work at the airport.
You can enter this career straight after SPM. A degree is optional, not required.

- SPM → for passenger service, a credit (or at least C) in English, and Bahasa Melayu for some handlers; for ramp agent, an SPM pass and a Class D driving licence → attend a ground handler's walk-in interview → in-house training and airport pass → shift work at KLIA, Penang, KK, Kuching or other airports, with promotion to supervisor or duty manager.
