How to appeal (rayuan)
Find the appeal window
The UPU appeal window is usually August – September (approximate) and is short, often under two weeks. The exact dates are announced on the UPU portal each cycle.
Open the official portalChoose programmes you actually qualify for
Only programmes the portal lists as open for appeal can be chosen. Read each one's official entry requirements and pick ones whose minimum grades you meet, not only the ones you want.
Submit before the window closes, and keep proof
Submit through the UPU portal, then save or screenshot the confirmation page. Check your UPU status again when results of the appeal are announced.

Appeal results come later than most other intakes open. Pick one alternative below now.

- Polytechnic & community collegeCertificate, diploma and Asasi TVET places through their own intake portal, separate from the UPU degree stream. Check which session is open now.
- TVET skills programmesAccredited skills certificates (SKM/DKM) at public training institutes. Intakes differ by institute, so check each one.
- Form 6 (STPM)A low-cost route to a degree through UPU later. Ask your school or district education office (PPD) about Form 6 placement and its appeal.
- MatriculationApplications usually open before SPM results, so this cycle may be closed. Check whether a matriculation appeal is still open, or plan for the next intake.
- Private university or college, with fundingPrivate institutions take direct applications and often have more than one intake a year. Look at scholarships and PTPTN before you register, not after.

A route that stays open
Appeal and prepare an alternative at the same time. Working on a second route does not weaken your appeal, and it means a late answer never leaves you with nothing.
